Tom Lockwood Memorial Garden

The Tom Lockwood Memorial Garden is back of the Church building by the retention pond. It can be accessed by following the Tim Collins Memorial Road to the pavilion site. There you may pray, rest, meditate, and enjoy the tranquility of this Garden.

POLICY

Specific places cannot be marked, but a Memorial Brick can be placed in the Garden pathway with the loved one's name, year of birth and death. These bricks are ordered by emailing Sue Lockwood at 686413sue@gmail.com She will forward the names to Rich Holbrook of Classic Brick Engraving in Sebastian. Prices run around $25 depending on how many are ordered and installed at the same time.

If a Funeral or memorial Service is desired, a Minister or an Elder should be contacted. Ashes may be scattered anywhere in the area. If ashes are to be buried, please contact Randy Los at randallos@hotmail.com and he will make the arrangements. Burial of urns or other paraphernalia is not permitted nor are the remains of animals. Flowers, real or artificial are prohibited. However, if members would like a Foxtail palm to honor a loved one, these are ordered by Sue Lockwood through Botanical Concepts for $100 each.

These bricks are not just for VCC members who have passed away, but can be placed by members for any friend or relative.

Designated donations can be made to the Garden for the purpose of maintaining and beautifying the area. Plans are being discussed for a fountain in the pond and updating the sprinkler system.
